So what is this
Seafari experience?
equal…

A Seafari is quite literally a voyage of discovery, where all aspects of the ocean ecosystem are experienced. Although we encounter whales on 98% of our Seafaris, we pride ourselves on not racing around with the sole intent of finding a whale at the expense of missing all the beauty and wonder of the area. The number one comment from guests is that they appreciate the time we take to move at a nice relaxed pace, allowing time for stories and fascinating facts.

Step aboard… your choice of two experiences awaits. . .

Private or Semiprivate Seafaris available

MV Sundancer

Let’s talk about the boat – MV Sundancer

Our 26 foot rigid hulled inflatable gives you the “big boat” advantage of room with the “small boat” advantage of being able to stay up-close and personal with nature. The following features will ensure your experience is safe, comfortable and dry:

  • Maximum 2 people per seat (the industry norm is 3), so lots of elbow room and space for camera bags and day packs
  • Powered by state-of-the-art Mercury Opti-max twin 150hp for the lowest emissions and noise possible
  • Extra wide tubes to deflect spray for a dryer ride
  • Walkway down both sides of the seats to maximize viewing & photographic opportunities
  • Deep-V hull for the smoothest ride

Lance Blackwell

So, who’s taking me on this tour?

Wouldn’t you agree that when you recall past positive experiences with tours, you remember the knowledge and enthusiasm of the guide? Your skipper and the owner of the company, Lance Blackwell, has had a love affair with the ocean since early childhood. He began scuba diving in the Broken Group Islands in Pacific Rim National Park in 1979 as a diving guide and instructor, and later patrolled the same area in the Canadian Coast Guard rigid-hulled inflatable rescue craft. In spite of the thousands of hours Lance has logged over the last 28 years as a diver, Coast Guard and professional marine guide, he still retains his enthusiasm for sharing stories and the wonders of the marine environment and its creatures with you.
